Title text: If they're going to make people ride bikes and scooters in traffic, then it should at LEAST be legal to do the Snow Crash thing where you use a hook-shot-style harpoon to catch free rides from cars.

Snow Crash has the best name* for the lead character. Ever.

As someone who is often a pedestrian... yes.
And that's without getting into how cars (yes, even electric ones) are absolutely terrible for the environment.

Might as well mention it here too that I started reading that recently and now I can't tell if this is a weird coincidence or Baader-Meinhof in action.

oh my god guys i'm a traffic engineer with a specialisation in road safety so this is combo my special interest / area of expertise / Real Job and this is SO TRUE I love it so much
