Title text: Who can forget the early 2010s memes? 'You know you're a 90s kid if you remember the feeling of warm sunlight on your face.' 'Only 90s kids remember the dawn.'

Some teenagers in the early 2010s, too young to have clear memories of the sun, start spreading the idea that the sun is just a myth and their parents are idiots for believing in it. "If there was a big ball like that in the sky, we'd be able to see it!"

Aren't sunspots still thousands of degrees? So the "dark" sun would still be visible?

The sun being a legend reminds me a bit of that Asimov story set on a planet with five suns, which experiences night only once every couple thousand years.

Amusingly enough I also looked up how hot and bright sunspots actually are after seeing the comic
Spoiler (Show/Hide)
A single isolated sunspot would be brighter than the Moon
