Title text: Some personal news: After treating my first case a few years ago with antibiotics, I can report that I have now had appendicitis for the second and--unless something extremely unexpected happened with the surgery--final time.


The only guaranteed way to be safe from appendicitis is to be vaccinated for it.

...If you remove every part of the body from the appendix, is it still the same appendix...?

Apparently it's actually possible to get "stump appendicitis" in the bit of the appendix that's left over.
