Title text: Ultra-Serial Violet C light is unpolarized, so you don't have to flip the polarizing filter over when you get the orientation wrong the first time.

Just today I was listening to a concert where one of the band members referred to USB as UCB, which is apparently a biopharmaceutical company.

Isn't this more of a cursed cable than a cursed connector?

At what point along it does it stop being a connector?

Why does it need to stop being a connector? A cable still connects things.

To me a connector is what's on either end of a cable, so I guess as soon as there's a wire bit in the middle? I definitely wouldn't call a USB cable a connector.

A wire is a connector for connecting two other connectors, I reckon.
