I was considering that but it would be hard for people to have multiple alignments and account switching is hard

You could have everybody do anonymous sock puppet accounts, either for just one or both accounts. Players would be expected to not be allowed to disclose their identities, or who their other half is etc, and then both halves can be same alignment. Perhaps create a penalty if pairs can be identified, so that town has to avoid it as much as scum?

Hmm, not sure how you could avoid revealing connections if the sockpuppets all need to do reads and stuff.

I'd love to, but I have a tiny human to manage and never enough time to do anything as it is.

also i'm 3 roles into this setup and the pizzazz is gonna be off the hook. i have no idea if it's balanced or not. after i send role PMs out i'll send it to sabrar and i will share his assessment of how badly balanced/organised it is

If I was running this my setup would have been you're all town, but a bunch of protectives and roleblockers. there's no mafia and there's no night elemination. And town wins if they decide to stop eleminating people before they're down to two.

You could have players play in both games at once with different roles and alignments. Some powers target players in the opposing game instead of your own.

Don't you recall asylum and asylum 2?

Both spectacular disasters I believe. But I had fun. If I recall correctly, Asylum 1 flavor put the inmates as scum but actually the staff were the Mafia, but didn't all know each other. Several of them claimed D1 and were swiftly eleminated.

I can't remember if Asylum 2 actually happened or was just planned.

I remember asylum 1, i wasn't playing i watched, it was hilarious, but also v sad for the scum players who were kinda stuffed lol
