On Mak it's the same style of play that I kept outlining for days in AI Mafia. Here's from my neighborhood chat with Ran: I posted that too early. heury flip with this many involved actors will give us a lot to work with, especially seven and the investigative slot's reaction to each other post flip...

You are the only person whose alignment you know. So by using your vote you a) increase the odds of town hitting scum and b) reduce scum's voting power. e.g. say no townies voted, then 100% of the voting power would be in scum's hands.

Also, I disagree with the notion that JC can't be relied upon in end game. He misshot last game, but Swiss is a mastermind manipulator. JC generally gets better torward the end of the game. In my first game with him, he was responsible for the town win in the final 3.
