It was the (semi) lawless area of the original forums. You had to specifically opt-in/request to join. But basically outside of legal concerns there were no rules in FaiD and mods didn't mod anything.

Sort of had its own culture in a similar way to how the Time thread had its own culture.

I've been re-reading Book 3 of Sanderson's Stormlight series. Oathbringer, I think? I don't have it by me at the moment. The fourth book came out recently, but I felt like I needed a refresher.
